According to TMZ and NFL sources, Jay-Z — one of Colin Kaepernick‘s biggest supporters — is teaming up with the NFL for a music and social justice campaign.

The partnership is with Hov’s Roc Nation company … in which the rap mogul will be the league’s “live music entertainment strategist” … including working together on the league’s Inspire Change activism campaign, according to The New York Times. According the paper, consulting on entertainment, including the Super Bowl halftime show, and contributing to the league’s activism campaign, Inspire Change, will be some of Jay-Z’s contributions to the campaign.Jay-Z told the Times this week, “The NFL has a great big platform, and it has to be all-inclusive.”“They were willing to do some things, to make some changes, that we can do some good,” the business mogul further explained.

Interesting enough — just last year, Jay-Z called the NFL out, dissing the league in a song called “APESH*T” … where he rhymed about turning down the Super Bowl halftime show to show solidarity with Kaepernick. He was quoted, “You need me, I don’t need you” ring any bells?This new business role will make Jay-Z a consultant for the show he so publicly rejected. Interesting What Can Change In A Year!
