Phaedra Parks ‘fired’ from Real Housewives of Atlanta after admitting she spread ‘drug and date rape’ rumor about co-star Kandi Burruss

Phaedra Parks has been fired from the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, it has been claimed.

The mother-of-two was let go from the series she confessed to being the source of the ‘date rape’ allegations leveled against Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker, according to TMZ.

Phaedra admitted on Sunday that she was the one who told fellow housewife Porsha Williams that Kandi and Todd were planning on drugging her and taking her back to their home to take sexual advantage of her.

Phaedra’s lie was exposed during the explosive reunion finale on Sunday.

Both Porsha and Kandi both broke down in tears and stormed out of the studio after learning it was Phaedra who had spread the story.
While Porsha wailed and claimed she had been a ‘pawn’ in Phaedra’s vendetta against her enemy, Kandi sobbed and expressed disgust at Phaedra’s behavior.

‘She and I, it had escalated over the years, but to repeat and say I would drug somebody, it’s just a multiple level to that,’ Kandi said.

Tempers flared in the fourth and final reunion episode when Porsha told Kandi it was Phaedra who had informed her that Kandi and Todd wanted to drug her and take advantage of her.

While Phaedra at first denied saying anything at all, she later claimed she had been told that – and not that Kandi had said that to her directly.

‘She, as someone who knows me, knows I don’t do drugs… but then as an attorney, why would you repeat that someone drugged somebody? You should understand that drugging somebody while they’re drinking and taking them home is rape. Y’all accused me of being a f***ing rapist,’ Kandi wailed in her high-pitched voice.

Kandi, getting increasingly distressed, said: ‘That’s what I’m talking about Porsha. You keep saying why I think she pulls your strings. Why would she tell you s*** like that? You and I never had a f***ing problem.’

Porsha, sobbing into Phaedra’s chest, told her: ‘I would never say that about somebody if you didn’t tell me that.’

‘I didn’t say that to you,’ Phaedra insisted.

‘I don’t remember saying that. I repeated it because I heard it,’ Phaedra claimed.

Porsha said: ‘You’ve got me out here looking like a *** d*** liar and that I’m not.’

While Porsha stormed off into the wings, Kandi left the studio to get some space with Todd.

Sheree Whitfield also got caught up in the moment and started crying along with Porsha and Kandi.

Kandi as she headed backstage told her husband: ‘If I were to punch them hoes in the motherf***ing face y’all would say I’m wrong.’

Porsha, being comforted backstage, said: ‘That whole time she must have lied and used me to hurt Kandi. I’m a pawn.’

Asked by host Andy Cohen if she felt set up, Porsha said: ‘Of course. I would never lie like that. I would never say something like that if I didn’t believe and trust my friend who told me in confidence that this was actually said. I just feel really bad for Kandi.’

Backstage, Phaedra gave a tearful apology to Porsha and told her: ‘I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have repeated it. Porsha I’m sorry.’

Asked whether she honestly believed Kandi would do something like that, she said: ‘I didn’t know. If something were to have happened to you, I would have been a bad friend.’

Back in the studio, Phaedra remained stony faced and refused to take responsibility for her actions.

‘I made a rash decision. I’m sorry,’ she said. ‘I don’t know if you heard me wrong.’

‘I don’t want to pull out the text messages. Don’t do that,’ Porsha said. ‘You know what you said.’

Phaedra told Kandi: ‘I’m sorry Kandi. I shouldn’t have repeated it. I’m sorry. It was bad judgment on my part.’

Kenya Moore asked: ‘So what about the sex dungeon, the Marvin situation, the seven-year relationship? What about all of those lies?’

Asked by Porsha whether she had told her the ‘Marvin thing’ – a rumor that Todd went by the name ‘Marvin’ when he was cheating on Kandi, Phaedra admitted: ‘Yes.’

‘She told me that a girl called her and told her that you were in New York and that you were telling people that your name was Marvin,’ Porsha explained.

Phaedra said: ‘I repeated it. You can’t retract something that’s already in the air.’

Porsha said: ‘I feel very, very upset to be used as a pawn. I feel betrayed and I’m definitely hurt. To Kandi, I want to say that I apologize for this entire situation. I feel horrible.’

Phaedra added: ‘I feel horrible as well. I’m sorry.’

Prior to the reunion, Kandi made several attempts behind the scenes to stamp out the rumor.

She had sent Porsha a cease and desist from discussing the allegation on the show, and according to TMZ, had threatened Bravo against using the clip of Phaedra originally informing Porsha.

Phaedra had been a main cast member for the past seven seasons, joining in season three.

She told People magazine on Monday – after the reunion but before news of her sacking had broken – that she had ‘no regrets.’

‘Everything happens for a reason. What’s meant to happen will happen,’ she said.

‘They say you’re set up to step up for the next thing, right? I know that I’m fortunate. I know that good things happen to me because I have my feet on frugal ground. I can’t regret anything, but I know it was destined to happen.’(Dailymail.com Reporter)
