CANDIDLY SPEAKING: Video Goes Viral of A California Police Officer Punching A 14-Year-old Black Boy In The Chest And Head

A California police officer savagely beating a 14-year-old black boy in the chest, head and pinned his head to the ground while detaining him for possessing a cigar in an incident that was captured on video.

The viral video, which was posted to Twitter and instagram by the teen’s family and  friends, shows a Rancho Cordova police officer savagely beating the teenager on the hot concrete. After the video was shared hundreds of thousands of times, authorities said the incident was under departmental review.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tess Deterding said in a statement, “It’s important to put video footage into context, especially in relation to a use of force incident.”

Let’s put it into context.  In the viral video, officer Brian  Fowell of Rancho Cordova Police Department attempts to turn teenager, who is lying on his back, onto his stomach and then pins his head into the ground, brutally hits in the head while twisting his arms as someone in the background says, “Stop, bro.” The officer then throws ‘UFC’ Type punches into Teen’s  chest as he flips the young teen again onto his back.  We get the picture.  He beat the shit out of him!

According to an instagram post by well respected journalist and author Lamont Hill, Brian Fowell of Rancho Cordova PD used excessive force against a 14-year-old child.  The young man had “tobacco products” in his possession, according to police.

“This type of brutality is disturbing and typically only happens to OUR CHILDREN. We must do something about it. Call their police department at 916-875-9600 or 916-362-5115 Tell Chief of Police Kate Adams to do something immediately!!!!!”
