Serena Williams and Reddit Co-Founder Alexis Ohanian are getting Married in New Orleans this week

Serena Williams and her fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, are getting married this Thursday in New Orleans, multiple sources have reported. People says that the guest list will include friends of Serena’s like Kris Jenner, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Meghan Markle (with or without boyfriend Prince Harry). Page Six’s sources add to that list Ciara, Kelly Rowland, La La Anthony, and Eva Longoria. Both sources are less up on which Silicon Valley acquaintances of Ohanian’s will be in attendance.

Word got out even though guests were sworn to secrecy, according to Page Six. Social-media posts are not allowed, and the venue was supposed to be secret. Guests were to be delivered to the undisclosed location at the prescribed time. However, the nuptials will reportedly be held at the city’s Contemporary Arts Center. Either this secret wedding is a bungled secret wedding or all the leaks are an elaborate ruse, and nuptials already went down in—I don’t know—Quebec, or something, in October, and no one was the wiser. (Vanity Fair has reached out to Williams for comment.)

Williams and Ohanian’s love story has unfolded at a steady clip. As they recounted to Vanity Fair’s Buzz Bissinger for the August cover story, they met in May 2015, when Ohanian obliviously sat too close to Williams and her crew in the pool area of Rome’s Cavalieri hotel, where she was staying for the Italian Open. They were engaged in December of last year. She won the Australian Open while two months pregnant, something she had only revealed to a few people, including Ohanian and friend Jessica Steindorff.

Williams and Ohanian said that they planned to marry this fall after the baby was born, and Alexis Jr. arrived on September 1. A Daily Mail photographer tailed the couple in New Orleans back in October. They inspected wedding venues with her teacup Yorkie, Chip, in tow, and spent more than an hour at Meril, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse’s restaurant, before boarding a private jet. Now they’re really doing it. They’re getting married. (Kenzie Bryant)
